A FUGITIVE, who ran a multi-million pound international drug smuggling ring from a shop in Bingley, will be extradited from the Philippines tomorrow.
John Halliday, 33, was jailed for ten years in his absence, in December 2013, after going on the run before his trial. He was convicted of conspiracy to import and conspiracy to supply synthetic class B drugs, such as M-cat. Halliday was said to be the ringleader of the £13 million plot.
He dealt in body building supplements from his shop in Park Road, Bingley, and smuggled 'legal highs' into the country when they were criminalised.

Halliday was arrested in the Philippines last month and, under a treaty agreed between the two countries last year, he will now be returned to the UK.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman confirmed today that officers were in the Philippines and would be flying back with Halliday tomorrow for him to serve his sentence.
