A BRADFORD man raped a vulnerable 15-year-old girl and photographed her performing a sex act on him, a jury heard today.

Arshad Mahmood, 46, is on trial at Bradford Crown Court accused of 14 offences, including making indecent photos of a child, forcing a teenager to watch pornography and rigging up a camera to spy on a woman in his bathroom.

Mahmood, of Carmona Avenue, Shipley, denies all the charges.

Prosecutor Ian Brook alleged that Mahmood's three female victims included a child and a pregnant woman.

Mr Brook accused him of exploiting the young girl's vulnerability for his own sexual gratification.

She told her teacher what Mahmood had done and the police were alerted, the jury at Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday.

It is alleged that Mahmood watched pornography on his computer with the girl.

Mr Brook said there were 2,444 pornographic images on it and 21,634 searches had been made for pornographic sites.

He told the court Mahmood bought the computer from new and the girl would have been incapable of using it to access pornography.

When Mahmood's phone was seized, there were two photos on it of the girl engaged in sexual activity with a man the Crown says is him.

The prosecution's case is that Mahmood raped the girl, sexually assaulted her, touched her indecently, committed sex acts in her presence and viewed pornography with her.

She complained that she was naked when he abused her and that it had been "disgusting".

He is also charged with sexually abusing a young woman and voyeurism by hiding a camera in his bathroom connected to a screen in his bedroom.

Mr Brook said a pregnant woman's husband found the camera, smashed it up and alerted the police.

Mahmood pleads not guilty to two allegations of rape, two charges of making an indecent photo of a child, sexual activity with a child, engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child, causing a person to watch a sexual act, four offences of sexual activity with a child, sexual activity with a second woman and voyeurism.

The court heard that Mahmood told the police the girl had made up all the allegations.

He said he never watched pornography on his computer and that the images of the girl were not on his phone when the police took it from him.

Mr Brook said the teenager's video interview with the police 'painted a very compelling picture' that the defendant had watched pornography with her.

The trial continues.
