BRADFORD Ice Skating Club has been given a £500 funding boost to help with its work in the area. The club is run by volunteers and provides ice time and skating competitions for around 100 young figure skaters and ice dancers in the area.

The cash has been made from the Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank employee grant programme, which funds charitable initiatives its own staff support.

Jacqui Atkinson, Community Support Manager at Yorkshire Bank, said: “The programme recognises the great community work employees are involved with outside of the bank’s own extensive volunteering programme. Any employee involved in a charity or not-for-profit organisation in their own time is eligible to apply for a grant. We are a strongly customer focused bank, very much committed to serving and supporting the communities we’re part of.”
