MOTORISTS faced long tailbacks on the M62 towards Bradford following an accident between Chain Bar and Gildersome early today.
One lane was closed eastbound as a result of the incident, which took place at 6.40am between junction 26, the M606 and A58, and junction 27, the M621, A650, and A62.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said two vehicles - a red Vauxhall Corsa, and a black Renault Megane - were involved in the crash but no-one was injured.
Congestion stretched back beyond junction 25, the A640, with traffic also queuing on the southbound M606 from Bradford, and the eastbound A58 through Wyke.
The lane was re-opened shortly after 8am.
