SKYDIVING daredevil Gemma Cullen is hoping her brave feat will raise £1,500 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The 28-year-old, of Wyke, plunged 14,000ft over Australia’s Great Barrier Reef in memory of her aunt Jackie Dennis and so far has made £1,330 for the charity.
The software worker with the Yorkshire Building Society was inspired to take on the challenge when the YBS made Marie Curie its fundraising cause of the year.
She left the UK on Boxing day for a three-week trip of a lifetime and on January 13 jumped out of the propeller plane above picture perfect Airlie Beach.
She said: “It was the best thing I’ve ever done. I had a great view of Whitsunday Islands. I really want to get to my target of £1,500.”
