LITTLE Red Riding Hood managed to escape from the Big Bad Wolf to visit youngsters at Yeadon Library.

Charlotte Thornton took time out from rehearsals for the Yeadon Charities Association production to read the gripping fairy story to a young audience.

The actress will make her debut with the company to take the lead role in Red Riding Hood. She is one of a number of new faces in the cast, along with some old favourites.

Fiona Spencer, who played Nancy in Guiseley’s production of Oliver will morph into Peter the Woodcutter, while John Kitching, another familiar face to local audiences will play the pantomime Dame, Granny Knott.

The cast and crew are now putting the finishing touches and sparkle to the production, which runs at Yeadon Town Hall from January 16 to 24. Visit yeadonpanto.com or call 07785 278395 for tickets. Yeadon Town Hall Box Office will also be open from Thursday, January 8 between 12 noon and 2pm.
