THE festive spirit was clear to see at Shipley College when staff wore festive jumpers that may have been against all good taste, but helped a good cause.

They were taking part in Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, which asked people to wear a themed jumper to work and make a donation to the charity. The day, on December 12, was organised by Diane France, Health and Safety Officer at the college with the dual goal of getting staff and pupils into the festive mood and helping children everywhere.

Over £140 was raised during the day, and there was also a grotto selling Christmas crafts and cakes.
