POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Bradford that left a 78-year-old pedestrian seriously injured.
The injured woman collided with a black Mercedes Vito private hire mini-van that was travelling along Leylands Lane towards Toller Lane in Heaton.
The collision happened at about 11.55am yesterday and left the pensioner with serious leg and pelvis injuries. She was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary where she was also treated for a bleed on the brain.
Police said today that the woman is currently in a critical, but stable, condition.
Leylands Lane was closed by police for several hours after the collision, which involved a vehicle from Bradford-based Dial A Ride.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact PC1927 Muskett at the Western Area Roads Policing Unit on 101.
