POLICE patrols have been stepped up around Bowling Park, Bradford, after reports of young people drinking, throwing stones at passing cars and being cheeky.

Officers and council wardens have held joint patrols in the Bowling Park and Burras Road area following the rise in complaints that young gangs were making life miserable for other residents.

As well as targeting motorists, there were also complaints that they had been “causing damage and being disruptive and cheeky to local residents.”

Ward Sergeant Tanya Ditta said: “We have carried out increased reassurance patrols in the area and have identified a number of the culprits responsible for the anti-social behaviour, who will be dealt with positively by our ASB team.”

To report anti-social behaviour call the police on 101.
