A TEENAGER has achieved an equestrian award after carrying out voluntary work supporting disabled horse riders at a Bradford riding school.
Chloe Brighouse, 13, did 20 hours’ work and completed an essay detailing what she did and how the riders benefited from their experiences to gain the Young Equestrian Leader award.
She also organised and ran a car boot sale to raise money for Throstle Nest Riding for the Disabled Group. and attended the Yorkshire and Cleveland RDA regional conference.
Jeannette Wheeler, proprietor of Throstle Nest Riding School, said: “Chloe’s support and enthusiasm is invaluable and we really appreciate all the effort she puts in. I am delighted to be able to present her with her certificate.”
The Young Equestrian Leader programme is supported by the British Equestrian Federation, the Riding for the Disabled Association and Sport England.
