POLICE are continuing to investigate vandalism to the power supply box of Haworth’s new performing arts bandstand.
Police Community Support Officer Tracy Metcalfe said officers had not yet identified the graffiti tags scrawled on the box.
Responding to parish councillors’ traffic safety concerns she also said officers had given warnings to drivers parking on the pavement outside the Spar store, in Station Road.
Acting chairman of Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Council, Councillor Angela Kershaw, said she had witnessed many motorists driving through the area while on their mobile phones.
Alerting councillors to theft-related trends in the Worth Valley, PCSO Metcalfe said Land Rovers continue to be targeted. She said one of these vehicles had its headlights stolen, while another had its doors taken.
