THE winners of the annual charity spud run in Queensbury have been presented with their trophies.

Queensbury councillor Paul Cromie (Ind) presented the winners with their potato awards by Queensbury councillor Paul Cromie (Ind).

The spud run was organised by Dave Ryan, fundraising on behalf of Queensbury Cricket Club (QCC).

Cllr Cromie said: “It gave me great pleasure to present the trophies. QCC have made a great job of the the pitch and pavilion and I am happy to support them in anyway I can. Good luck for the future, lads and lasses.” The spud run was held earlier this month. starting at the Old Dolphin pub and calling at the Halfway House, George III , Ring O’ Bells and the New Dolphin, before finishing at the Omnibus.
