POLICE seized a pump-action sawn-off shotgun and bags of ammunition after pursuing a 4x4 vehicle across Bradford, a jury heard yesterday.
Officers caught the driver, Jordan Farooq, 24, and his passenger, Zulfiqar Ali, 33, when they fled on foot after stopping the Mitsubishi Shogun in South View Road in Great Horton.
After the men’s arrest a 9mm handgun was found in a conifer tree at the back of Ali’s home in Padma Close, Listerhills, Bradford, the jury was told.
Farooq, of South View Terrace, Great Horton, has pleaded guilty to possession of the sawn-off shotgun and dangerous driving on June 10. He denies possession of the weapon with intent to endanger life.
Ali pleads not guilty to two offences of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The trial continues.
