POLICE are investigating an alleged knifepoint robbery at a Bradford fish and chip shop.

The incident is alleged to have happened at Harry's in High Street, Queensbury, shortly before 3pm last Friday.

A police spokesman said the suspect, armed with a knife, entered the kitchen through a fire door and there was an altercation with a member of staff working there, during which the knife was knocked from his hand.

The suspect fled on foot in the direction of Spring Onion Street.

The 37-year-old victim was unhurt.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his 20s or 30s, with short dark hair, thin build, at least 5ft 6ins tall, bearded, and spoke with an Irish accent. He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, an all black zip up hooded top and a navy blue face covering.
