POLICE in West Yorkshire are joining a national counter terrorism week of action starting today.
Officers and partner agencies will put on events to make the public, businesses and commuters more vigilant.
They include security briefings for sports venues, leisure parks and transport operators as well as talking to the public in community centres, universities and shopping centres.
Assistant Chief Constable Geoff Dodd said: βIt is vital we ensure we are in the best possible position to prevent and detect any potential terrorist threats.β
