THE Bradford Bulls’ stadium will soon be ringing with the sound of festive carols at a special event to mark the centenary of World War One’s 1914 Christmas truce.
Silent Night Carols at the Provident Stadium in Odsal from 7pm on Wednesday, December 10 will feature local and school choirs, including the West Yorkshire Police Band, Great Horton Theatre Company and the Black Gospel Choir.
Unofficial ceasefires took place along the Western Front as enemy soldiers exchanged gifts and held conversations over the Christmas period. In conjunction with Hope Together and Sports Chaplaincy UK, the Bradford Bulls Foundation will celebrate 100 years since the truce.
There will also be the chance to buy festive food and drink from a Christmas market stall. Tickets are £2.50 and available from the ticket office or 08448 711490.
