YORKSHIRE accents are the second most loved in the country, according to a new survey.
The research found that while Tykes’ tones are among the nation’s favourite, many people are clueless when it comes to identifying British dialects.
In Bradford, 64 per cent of people said accents were a unique part of our heritage. However, when tested, more recognised ‘hello’ in Spanish and Italian than a traditional London dialect.
The Travelodge report found 92 per cent of people in Bradford think more must be done to preserve them.
