A MAN with more than 100 convictions was in court again yesterday to plead guilty to the theft of razors from a shop in Bradford.
John Richardson, of Burneston Gardens, Buttershaw, was caught on CCTV stealing two Remington razors from Boyes in North Parade.
The 37-year-old committed the offence at 11am on October 20. He was arrested after being recognised when he returned to the shop later.
Paul Milner, mitigating, said Richardson was trying to turn his life around but had retreated to a bad habit because of money worries.
He added that Richardson was due to inherit a large sum of money – possibly six figures – in the near future.
District Judge Susan Bouch said the theft was made more serious because of Richardson’s previous record. She imposed a 9pm to 7am curfew and ordered him to pay £54.98 compensation for the razors.
