PEOPLE who work in the Bradford district are invited to find out about the range of support services offered to carers at charity Carers’ Resource base at Park View Court, St Paul’s Road, Shipley, tomorrow.
It follows an initial event last week which attracted 35 people representing about 20 different organisations.
Anne Smyth, Carers’ Resource director, said: “We had a great response to our first professionals open day and it was a really good way for us to firm up our links with colleagues who also work with carers.
“Someone who is in a caring role may not realise they are a carer – and once it does hit them they can be at a loss as to where to get help and what kind of support is available. The closer that we can work with professionals and health staff and highlight what we do and how we can help, the more chance there is that carers can be identified sooner.”
The event takes place from 10.30am to 2.30pm. For details, call (01274) 449660.
