UPDATE: TWO ARRESTED AFTER TEENAGERS DIE IN BRADFORD CAR SMASH
Emergency services were alerted to the incident just before 7.30pm this evening.
The crash is believed to have involved only one vehicle which collided with a wall at a location near the Tesco Express store on Manningham Lane.
As a result of the crash, police cordoned off a substantial area of the road to allow a full investigation of the scene.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted but were not needed in the initial stages of the recovery operation.
However there was a large police presence at the scene, with around 20 officers and a fleet of cars and vans, in addition to ambulance service personnel.
The road remained closed in both directions tonight and police warned that it could be shut for a considerable time with a West Yorkshire Police spokesman advising the public to avoid the area.
The force confirmed the incident was fatal, but said they were unable to release further details of the circumstances.
