A 47-YEAR-OLD man has made his first appearance at Bradford Crown Court charged with murdering a party-goer.

Stanislav Misko, of Carlisle Road, Manningham, Bradford, is accused of the murder of 23-year-old Marek Benak (pictured) in the early hours of October 23 after an alleged argument at house in Great Horton Road, Bradford.

Misko is a native of Slovakia, the court heard.

His barrister, Stephen Wood, said no interpreter had been booked for the crown court hearing.

The Recorder of Bradford, Judge Roger Thomas QC, remanded Misko in custody after fixing a trial date of April 23 next year.

Judge Thomas said the case would be heard by a High Court Judge sitting in Bradford.

Misko, who wore a blue jumper, will next appear before the Recorder for a case management hearing on January 30.

Mr Benak, from Slovakia, died from a single stab wound.
