HALLOWEEN themed fun will help Jamie’s Ministry of Food Centre celebrate its fifth anniversary on Friday.

There will be cooking demonstrations, pumpkin carving, face painting and a guess the weight of the giant pumpkin competition.

People will also be able to decorate their own healthy muffin and get lots of useful information about how to cook healthy meals and improve their lifestyle.

Jamie’s Ministry of Food centre opened in John Street, Bradford, on October 31, 2009 and was the second of the Jamie Oliver projects.

Since then centres have opened across the county and even spread to Australia.

Over the last five years there have been over 300 eight-week cooking courses and more than 260 one-off cooking working shops. They have cooked around 200,000 healthy meals.

using fresh ingredients with school children, families and community groups from across the district.

The free family fun day runs from 11am until 3pm at Jamie’s Ministry of Food Centre and the Good Food Advice Stall in the Oastler Shopping Centre.
