PLANS to create hundreds of extra places at four district primary schools will soon be decided.
Bradford Council will decide whether to give the go-ahead for the expansions of Barkerend Primary School, Wycliffe CE Primary in Shipley and Stocks Lane Primary School. Councillors will also note plans to increase the size of Lidget Green Primary School – a decision the school’s governors will have the final say on.
If the changes go ahead, Barkerend Primary would increase from 412 to 630 pupils. Stocks Lane Primary School would double its pupil population to 210, Wycliffe CE would rise from 315 to 420 and Lidget Green would increase in capacity from 525 to 630.
The changes would mean extension buildings works at all schools.
The Executive meets next Tuesday to discuss the plans in City Hall at 10.30am.
