BRADFORD Council has approved plans to turn a shop in West Bowling into a day centre.
Shahid Alishan applied for permission to change the use of 10 Boynton Street into a centre that would open between 10am and 10pm.
Approving the application, officers added: “The site lies within a community priority area, where one main planning aim is the encouragement of community uses. A day centre provides communal facilities for the public and, as such, it is considered to be a community use. In principle, this is acceptable.”
One of the conditions of the approval is that it can only be used as a day centre, and not a place of worship.
