REGIONAL airline Flybe has launched a new shuttle service from Leeds-Bradford Airport to Aberdeen as part its 2014-15 winter schedule.

The Flybe Shuttle not only creates a new route for the airline between the Scottish city and Leeds- Bradford, it also marks the return of daily flights to Southampton.

The new service features a multi-stop ‘hop-on and off’ service with a choice of up to three flights a day connecting Jersey to Aberdeen, with passenger pick-up and drop-offs at Southampton and Leeds-Bradford airports.

In total, Flybe will operate four routes to and from Leeds Bradford this winter offering a choice of up to 158 flights a week.

Paul Simmons, Flybe’s chief commercial officer, said: “The diversity of our winter network this year is greatly expanded with the new routes we have added.

"Regional connectivity is Flybe’s mission and our new Flybe Shuttle service offers even greater choice for our Leeds-Bradford passengers. Providing an extensive choice of routes for customers whose travel plans are time-critical is what Flybe is all about."

Flybe has also introduced Avios, a new travel rewards programme, along with Spend & Fly, a simpler way to earn flights with Flybe’s credit card.

Tony Hallwood, LBIA aviation development director, said the new Flybe shuttle was a boost for both business and leisure passengers and complemented its Belfast service and the daily services to Glasgow, operated by its franchise partner Loganair.
