POLICE have made use of new legislation to tackle nuisance behaviour problems in Bradford city centre.
Since Friday, officers have issued seven dispersal orders, using new anti-social behaviour legislation introduced on Monday.
Two out of the seven “pushed their luck” and returned to the city centre only to be arrested. Both have been bailed to court, one with a city centre ban until the court date and a charge for resisting the PCSO who detained him. Police said the new legislation allows them to issue city centre banning orders for up to 48 hours.
