CLOSED: One lane of the M62 was closed
POLICE had to close a lane of the M62 near Chain Bar tonight after a group of people were seen walking on the carriageway.
Officers were called to reports of nine or ten people walking, apparently having left a vehicle, and for safety reasons one lane of the westbound carriageway was closed while officers cleared the pedestrians.
West Yorkshire Police later confirmed there were no injuries and no crash following the incident, which happened shortly before 7pm.
