LEAVES on the line caused disruption to train services in the Bradford district today.
Two trains - the 7.02am Leeds to Ilkley and 7.37am Ilkley to Leeds - were cancelled because of the problem at Springs Tunnel, near Guiseley.
The 6.55am Bradford Forster Square to Leeds service had to start at Shipley, and the 6.17am Ilkley to Bradford Forster Square train was terminated at Shipley.
A Northern Rail spokesman said: "Trains were slipping and services started building up behind them.
"We put sand on the track to get some grip on it."
The spokesman added: "Yesterday was really windy and leaves got on the line. It is one of those things that comes with autumn."
