The Christmas celebrations seem to start earlier every year.

The pantomimes at all the local theatres are being advertised and bookings are already being taken. It won’t be long before the shops start opening late on Thursday and it’s only a question of time before Father Christmas arrives in the stores.

So isn’t it time you started planning for Christmas?

The build-up to the festive season is an excellent excuse for get-togethers with old friends. Whether you go to the nearest pub for a drink, a local restaurant for a quiet meal and a chat over old times, or if you want to dance the night away in a lively club atmosphere – you’ll find everything you need in this area.

Most popular places become fully booked very quickly and it is therefore essential that you start looking around now – or you could be in for a disappointment.

Many people also go out for Christmas lunch. Traditionally a time for being with the family, this is not always possible for people with a busy lifestyle. People work away from home and often have to keep working over the Christmas period.

Also, couples whose families have grown up and moved out of the area feel there is not the same need to cook a large Christmas meal at home.

Restaurants, pubs and hotels have recognised the need for providing Christmas lunches or even complete Christmas weekend breaks.

The build-up to Christmas is here – don’t miss out!
