THE funeral will take place on Friday of schoolboy Saliq Malik who died after the car he was travelling in crashed at high speed in Bradford.
His father Amjad Malik said that would be followed by a burial at Cemetery Road.
Saliq's death, following a collision involving a Volkswagen Golf in Gilpin Street, Barkerend, on Friday, September 12, is still the subject of a police investigation.
Mr Malik, of Manor House Gardens, Eccleshill, said he was still waiting to be told of its progress.
Saliq, 15, was one of two passengers in the car when it crashed. He was taken to hospital in Leeds but died hours later.
The other passenger, also a 15-year-old boy, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
A 17-year-old youth, who was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has been released on bail pending the police inquiries.
An inquest into Saliq's death is scheduled to be opened in Bradford tomorrow.
