SCHOOL children have joined residents to clear eyesore land of litter and fly-tipping.

Margaret McMillan Primary School pupils and people living in Bonn Road are jointly tackling the grassed area behind Bonn Road, next to Scotchman Road allotments.

CNet community worker Muppett and Masood Gondal from Bradford West Area Co-ordinator's Office are also working on the three-week project which has been paid for with funding approved by the Toller Ward councillors and Bradford West Area Committee.

The council removed fridges and beds and Manningham Mills Community Association’s probation team did a litter pick.

This week, pupils, staff and residents are taming long grass and brambles.

Wood Chips will then be spread across the area and planters placed.
