BRADFORD'S Breath Easy group has been handed hundreds of pounds to keep up its good work - thanks to marathon efforts from a team of physiotherapists and health workers from Bradford Royal Infirmary.
The Breath Easy group, that meets on the first Tuesday of every month at Undercliffe Cricket Club in Intake Road, has been presented with a share of £1,396 a 26-mile sponsored walk by the pulmonary rehabilitation team raised in June.
The money was split three ways between the group, the Airedale Breathe Easy group and the British Lung Foundation.
David Ratcliffe, who was one of the group's founding members in 2000, said: "Our meetings are for people with lung problems, their carers and families. The money we've got from the walk will be used to run activities for our members so we'd like to say a very big thank you to all the walkers who did this for us."
