A charity shop worker is the first person to be named as volunteer of the month in a new incentive scheme.
The title and a bouquet of flowers were handed to Heather Cook for her work at Mpika Relief Fund in Denholme. The shop raises money for children orphaned through AIDS.
The monthly reward scheme has been set up by Bradford and District Older People's Alliance (BOPA) - an umbrella organisation for the elderly people's groups in the district.
BOPA's Julie Linton said: "The award shows how much everyone relies on volunteers and how much they do."
Each month BOPA will pick a nominated volunteer to receive the award.
And every month florist Jack Hodgson, on Bridge Street in Bradford, will make up a complimentary bouquet for the winner.
Nominations slips are available on BOPA's monthly newsletter.
