Pupils were treated to a performance of Shakespeare when a theatre company visited their school.
The Black Cat Theatre Company presented an abridged version of The Tempest to help year nine pupils at South Craven School, Cross Hills, prepare for their SATS in May.
Teacher Christian Fox said: "We feel that actually watching the play in performance brings Shakespeare's characters and language alive. Nothing can replace seeing the specified scenes as live theatre."
