A town's allotments should return to the control of the parish council, according to a new recommendation.
Ilkley parish council's general purposes committee has recommended that the full council agrees to take on the management of the 88 allotments on Bridge Lane, Castle Road and Leeds Road.
Bradford Council has collected rents and managed the allotments for more than three decades, since it took over the plots from Ilkley Urban District Council.
But Ilkley councillors have since argued that the allotments should have stayed with the parish council.
The issue is expected to be debated at the next full parish council meeting on February 5.
