Bradford College has been awarded a prestigious award for its commitment to young people in the care system.
The Buttle UK Quality Mark is awarded to colleges and universities that commit to support a young person who has been in care, to access further and higher education and successfully complete their studies.
To receive the Quality Mark Bradford College had to demonstrate that it has a robust strategy to make sure students from a care background can access all types of support.
Susan Mueller, Buttle UK Quality Mark Manager, said: “The college has amply displayed its dedication and initiative to helping young people leaving care to receive an education and have the opportunity to succeed and move on to the next stage of their lives.
Bradford College IAG Manger, Trine Powell said: “I am particularly pleased that the awarding panel has recognised and highlighted our examples of best practice.”
