Harden Children's Gala
A village is gearing up for its 41st annual children’s gala. And the event in Harden, on Saturday, June 21, will feature a huge range of attractions.
A parade will assemble at the top of Long Lane and – after the judging of floats – will set off at 1.40pm, meeting with fancy dress and walking tableaux contestants to make its way through the village.
The procession will be led by the New Orleans Jazz Band and gala queen Tia Thompson and her attendants, sisters Lana and Nell Toehill.
Tia will officially open the gala at the Memorial Hall Park at 2pm.
