Budding cyclists can put pedal power to the test to help raise funds for a national wildlife charity.
To coincide with the Tour de France Grand Depart arriving in the region in July, the RSPB has launched The Big Bike Ride, inviting people to tour the stunning Yorkshire countryside while boosting funds for the charity whose work helps to give nature a home.
The 28-mile ride starts at RSPB Fairburn Ings nature reserve on Saturday July 12 and finishes at RSPB Old Moor nature reserve following the iconic Trans Pennine Trail through Leeds, Wakefield and Barnsley.
