Director Sally Potter has received this year’s Bradford International Film Award Fellowship.
Over the past 30 years, her films have moved between various facets of culture, exploring dance, music, history, gender and performance.
Regarded as one of the great inspirational film-makers, she made her first 8mm film aged 14 and has since written and directed seven feature films, short films, and a television series, as well as opera and other live performance work.
Her background is in choreography, music, performance art and experimental film and she's known for risk-taking subject matter.
A selection of her films, including Ginger and Rosa, The Man Who Cried and The Tango Lesson, will be shown during the festival.
