Bradford Bulls stars joined national heart charity Heart Research UK on National Skipping Day yesterday to encourage more people to take up skipping as part of a healthy heart exercise regime.
It can burn up to 250 calories in 20 minutes and tones up the body while going easy on the joints.
The Yorkshire-based heart charity held a skipping demonstration with Skip2bfit, a national organisation that runs skipping workshops around the UK, to get the public to try out skipping as a simple, easy and inexpensive form of exercise.
Bulls player Adrian Purtel, who is an ambassador for Heart Research UK after suffering a heart attack in 2012, was there with his team-mate Adam Henry to help him get the healthy skipping message over.
