Acclaimed British actress Vicky McClure was in Bradford to judge a competition for city’s film festival.

The actress shot to fame in acclaimed film This Is England and starred in the TV follow-up, This Is England 86, winning Baftas for both roles. More recently she starred in BBC2’s hit police drama Line Of Duty She also co-starred in Filth And Wisdom, the first feature film directed by Madonna, and has appeared in videos for Jake Bugg and Plan B.

Miss McClure was one of the judges of the Bradford City of Film European Feature Competition.

The eight shortlisted films include snapshots of a Europe still coping with the effects of the recession, and encompass the culture, history and social perspective of various European countries.
