Pupils became journalists yesterday when they took part in the BBC News School Report Day and interviewed celebrities including rugby hero Sir Ian McGeechan and Leigh Marklew, a member of the band Terrovision.
Year eight students from at Titus Salt School, Baildon, organised a morning of press conferences followed by an intensive article writing session and review which will take place today.
Sir Ian McGeechan, accompanied by several England rugby union players, and Dave Duxbury, community rugby coach of the RFU, also took part in a school team coaching session.
The articles produced from the special day will be checked by year nine students acting as sub editors and be published on the school’s website.
