A Bradford Council warden will tackle a 192-mile Coast to Coast walk for charity – in memory of his grandad.
Daniel Coleman, who works in Barkerend, will trek from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay, North Yorkshire, to raise money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
“I was inspired to raise money for charity because my grandad always donated to good causes before he passed away,” said Mr Coleman.
“We have been giving up our weekends to train by going on long walks. We have already covered a 22-mile walk for practice.”
Mr Coleman is doing the walk alongside three friends at the end of May, and they hope to finish it within 12 days. They are aiming to raise £1,000.
