An all day music festival in Otley has had to be cancelled just before tickets were due to go on sale.
The first LS21 Live was a major success for hosts Otley Rugby Club last year, when indie rockers Reverend And The Makers and an array of support bands entertained more than 2,000 fans.
The club was all set to try to repeat that success on Sunday, May 25 – but has now been forced to call the event off after the late withdrawal of its main sponsor.
Committee member Gordon Baines said: “Without the pre-concert money we just cannot go ahead and it’s an awful shame.”
He added that the club was exploring its options for 2015 and that there was “a possibility” the festival could be revived next year.
