Shipley MP Philip Davies made a feline friend when he visited an animal charity.

Riley the cat, who arrived at Bradford and District RSPCA’s Mount Street branch 16 weeks ago as a young kitten, is very playful, likes attention and would be ideal with children and other animals, according to branch manager, Terry Singh.

As well as meeting Riley, Mr Davies toured the small aviary, the wildlife centre and veterinary clinic.

“It is really good he gave us support which we need,” said Mr Singh.

Mr Singh also appealed to the public to continue giving donations and collecting tins of pet food to help them with the continued care of the animals.
