A baker is hoping to taste success with her Grand Depart themed cookies.
The director of Cookielicious won over Welcome to Yorkshire with her tasty treats to such an extent that she has been given permission to use the tourism board’s logos on her bike-themed biscuits.
Jean Boyle said she met Welcome to Yorkshire’s chief executive Gary Verity at an event the organisation was holding and gave him some of her cookies.
“He thought they were absolutely fabulous,” she said.
“He wanted to take them out to Paris. He thought they were brilliant.”
Three hundred of the biscuits were sent to a VIP Tour De France meeting in France in November and now Mrs Boyle has been given permission to use Welcome to Yorkshire Grand Depart branding on biscuits, which will be sold in shops across the region.
Mrs Boyle’s business is based at Commerce Court, off Challenge Way, Bradford.
