Detectives are hoping to get the go ahead from doctors to start questioning a mother arrested on suspicion of murdering her young daughter.
The 38-year-old woman, who is now in a stable condition in hospital, was found on February 18 with her 22-month-old daughter, Amrita Kaur, in the garden of their home in Marshfields, Bradford, by a window cleaner.
Amrita died from injuries consistent with a fall from an upstairs window at the terraced house in Delamere Street.
It is understood the mother fell from the same window soon after the girl.
She is currently on bail pending further investigations.
A police spokesman said: “She is in a stable condition. Officers are hoping to speak to hospital staff today about talking to the mother.”
