A cycling competition is challenging staff and students from universities and colleges in Bradford, Leeds and Huddersfield to cycle as many miles as possible in a month.
Students started the Inter-University and College Cycle Challenge – organised by Sustrans’ projects Bradford Bike Hub, UTravelActive in Leeds, and Huddersfield Travel Actively, in partnership with West Yorkshire go:cycling – on Monday with a number of prizes up for grabs.
Jennie O’Hara, the Sustrans project officer in Bradford , said: “We are running the Challenge to encourage people to get their bikes out after the winter and remind them of the joy of cycling.”
Students and staff from Bradford University can sign up by visiting bradfordbikehub.com/challenge.
