A grandad has raised more than £200 at a music night for a charity that helped save his grandson’s life.
The community worker, who changed his name to ‘Muppett’ by deed poll, held the event last week at The Castle pub in Bradford in aid of the Children’s Liver Foundation’s Big Yellow Friday campaign.
Muppett (pictured), of Thorpe Edge, Bradford, has already raised almost £4,000, split between the charity and Leeds General Infirmary where his grandson, Amos Harker, was treated. The bulk of the money has been raised through long-distance sponsored walks.
More prizes will be raffled off this Friday at The Castle.
