Detectives are hunting a gang of masked robbers who struck at a Bradford shop last night.
The four men, who spoke with Eastern European accents, burst into the premises in Park Road, Little Horton, at about 7.30pm and demanded money before one of them attacked the till with a hammer while another grabbed cigarettes from the shelves.
They fled when the terrified shop assistant grabbed a handful of banknotes and threw them at them.
It is believed they ran off towards Elizabeth Street.
Detective Inspector Stuart Lyons, of Bradford District CID, said: "We are keen to trace these men before they strike again, and I would urge anyone who was in the Park Road/Elizabeth Street area between 7.30pm and 7.40pm to contact the police, as it is possible they would have seen these men."
Anyone with information should call Bradford District CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
